Kiln Hire

I have an Olympic 51 Lt kiln available for hire on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. I am currently offering a service where you can drop off your work, and I will load and fire kiln, then unpack for you. I am not offering self loading at this time.

Kiln Information: Internal dimensions are 37cm wide, and 46cm deep. 13 inch kiln shelves with a variety of prop sizes.

Price Includes: Price includes my time to pack/unpack the kiln, program, and firing costs.

Specification: Greenware must be fully dry. No candling offered. If you suspect your glaze might drip you must provide a cookie/drip tray to go with your work. The bases of all glaze work needs to be wiped clean. Full loads are best, but partial loads can be arranged.

If the kiln shelves are damaged by dripping glaze or similar, there is a $15 clean up fee. If the shelf can not be saved you are liable for a replacement kiln shelf.

Pricing:

Low fire / Earthenware (Cone 08 – 3)

$30 a load

Mid fire / Stoneware (Cone 4 – 7)

$40 a load

High fire (Cone 8 – 9)

$50 a load

Partial loads can be arranged but might take longer due to waiting for other pottery that needs to be fired at the same cone.
